What data does Cully access?
Photo library
Cully accesses your photo library through the iOS Photos framework. All processing happens locally on your device. Your photos are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with anyone. When you delete photos through Cully, iOS moves them to the Recently Deleted folder where they remain recoverable for 30 days.
iCloud Key-Value Storage
Cully uses Apple's iCloud Key-Value storage (NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore) to sync your deletion statistics and app settings across your devices. This data includes your total number of deleted photos, freed storage, and session history. This sync happens through Apple's infrastructure and is subject to Apple's privacy policy. No personal photos or photo metadata are synced.
Push notifications
Cully can send you optional push notifications to remind you to clean up your photo library. These notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to any server. You can disable notifications at any time in the app settings or in iOS Settings.
What Cully does NOT do
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, or delete any personal data we process. Since Cully does not collect or store any personal data on our servers, there is effectively no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete. All data remains on your device and under your control.
If you have questions about your data or wish to exercise your rights, please contact us.
